What Information Do We Collect?

Kynk101.com collects regular usage data, just like most websites, which includes your IP address, browser type, language preference, referring page, clicks, and the date(s) and time(s) of your visit(s).

We also gather non-personal data on conversion rates and interactions across the Website, including merchandise purchases, button and link clicks, and time spent on page. Some sessions on our home page and Kynklopedia are randomly stored for 30 days for us to review, and only includes these two pages of the Site. This service provided by Hotjar. For the Mailing List, we collect your name, email address, date of birth, and consent to receive emails. We ask for your date of birth to make sure you are of legal age, as some of our content is mature. If you are under the legal age, we will not send you emails and your details will be destroyed immediately upon receipt.

The Mailing List will only ever contain updates to the site, or relevant policy changes. You can opt-out at any time by using the Unsubscribe link found in one of these emails, or by emailing us directly at admin@kynk101.com. If you do email us about something, we will store your contact information and any emails related to the query until we deem it resolved.

For the Deviant Discussions podcast, the relevant hosting platform will collect your data differently, and we advise you to check the host’s Privacy Policy externally. Anchor.fm provides us with non-identifying analytics, such as age, gender, location, and listening medium.

How Is Information Shared?

We value your privacy, so any personal data collected will never be shared with a third-party. We may use key demographics, such as age range, country, or platform to improve our offering and make improvements to the services we provide.

In the unlikely event Kynk 101 is acquired by a different company, we will notify you prior to any data being transferred, and advise you of any changes to the Privacy Policy.

Is The Information You Store Secure?

In a word, yes. The Website uses HTTPS and SSL certifications. Our host, Squarespace, provides a publicly accessible copy of their publicly accessible copy of their Privacy Policy here.

Your contact details for the Mailing List are held in a secured private storage drive using 128-bit AES keys.

Key demographics and cookies are stored by third-party hosts and vendors.

What’s The Data Retention Policy?

If you unsubscribe from the Mailing List, we’ll delete your contact details within 28 days of receiving your request.

If you leave the Discord Server, your shared data will remain visible for the duration of the Server being Online.

How About “Do Not Track” Settings?

You can manage these yourself through your browser settings. As awesome as we are, we sadly can’t change them for you! What we can promise is that we don’t track your external activity outside our Services, and we don’t allow irrelevant third-parties to track your activity here.
