Human ATMs: What Is FinDom?

FinDom, or financial domination, is a term used to describe a D-type who controls the finances of their consenting submissive partner.

FinDom is a form of power exchange with the D-type controlling expenditures and making major financial decisions on behalf of their submissive partner.

FinDom relationships can be sexual in nature, but do not necessarily have to include a sexual component. Financial domination can be part of any power dynamic regardless of gender, with or without a degradation component.

In some cases, FinDom relationships can involve ‘exploitation’, such as blackmailing the submissive to demanding that they pay for the D-type’s utility bills, clothes and groceries, or other expenses. Submissives in these types of FinDom relationships are often referred to as “pay pigs”, “human ATMs”, or “money slaves”.

These exploitative dynamics can be dangerous and should be approached with transparency and empathy to avoid a spiral into unmanageable debt.

As with any kink activity, FinDom must be consensual in order to be a form of BDSM - financial abuse without consent is simply abuse.
